Case summary
The application started with Blumaps at Floripa Airport, offering a digital map, indoor routes and points of interest to support passengers and visitors inside the terminal. Once in production, the project became relevant to the operation and opened the path for a broader evolution: turning the map into a centralized information and self-service experience.
Bluhub started bringing together, in a single interface, flight information, indoor map, stores, food options, services, amenities, parking, VIP lounge, boarding and arrival guidance, and useful content for different moments in the passenger journey.
In an airport, passengers need to make quick decisions: confirm flight status and gate, find services, locate stores and restaurants, understand boarding procedures, check parking, access amenities and continue the experience on their phones.
When this information is spread across different channels, the journey depends more on in-person assistance and creates questions at critical moments. Bluhub centralizes these answers in a simple, accessible, multilingual experience that can be updated as the operation changes.
The Floripa Airport case did not remain limited to the initial digital map. The solution evolved with the operation and Zurich Airport needs, expanding Blucom role from indoor map provider to partner in digital passenger information experiences.
This progress allowed Bluhub to be applied in other airports managed by Zurich Airport, such as Natal Airport and Vitória Airport, keeping an information hub logic that adapts to different terminals, journeys and services.
